A letter to our customers
The following letter went out on the morning of Thursday November 1st, three days after the end of Hurricane Sandy.
Friends,
The last 72 hours have proven to be trying times for our family, friends, resources and clients that were in the path of Hurricane Sandy.
While the devastation has brought terrible personal tragedy, it also reminds us of what is truly important and manages to bring out the best in everybody. As a community we pull together, pitch in to help each other and do whatever we can to make the lives of those affected a bit better.
With offices in New York City, Long Island and Washington D.C., we at Work Market were certainly impacted by the storm. Many of our employees have been displaced from their homes and two of our offices are still without power.
Despite this, I want to assure you that we are resolved, ready and fully operational to support our customers who undoubtedly have been equally impacted. Through a remote and virtual workforce, our entire team remains focused on delivering on our promise of providing you with the best software and service possible to get work done.
Together, we will get through this challenge and ensure that you have all the tools necessary to leverage your contingent network to fulfill work and delight your customers.
This “can do” spirit is the essence of Work Market. As Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, I couldn’t be more proud of my team for pulling together or more determined to support you in whatever capacity necessary.
Sincerely,
Jeff Wald
Chief Operating Officer
